The state of Washington is enjoying a steady growth in it’s population size for over a century now, largely due to the state’s relative healthy economic status and the excellent education system that draws new residents from neighboring states and the US as whole.
New residents moving into Washington often do so while seeking new job opportunities at lucrative companies such as Microsoft, Starbucks, Boeing, Nordstrom, Costco and many other leading American businesses whose headquarters are located in Washington. The school system and higher education institutes also have tremendous appeal that translates into more people moving into the state.

Los Angeles, the City of Angles, is home to almost 4 million people and is an international center of business of all types as well the obvious film and television industries located mainly in Hollywood and the Los Angeles outskirts. Being such a lively and wealthy city means plenty of people are moving in, many of them do so illegally, but many others are drawn to the city to start a new life in one of the many neighborhoods surrounding the city.

Orange County is one of the most heavily populated counties in California and even the entire US its size is roughly 950 square miles, making it larger then some small island nations. Orange County is also home to many of California’s most famous attractions many of them located at Anaheim, such as Disneyland Park, Adventure City, Downtown Disney and many others. Anaheim is not only the largest city in Orange County but also the most popular tourist destination in the area. The second largest city, Santa Ana, serves mostly as a residential area with far less tourist attractions.

As many of you may know, California is regarded by many as the world’s 8th largest economy, and is the most heavily populated of all US states, with nearly 40 million people calling this state their home. California is also the third largest state, with only Alaska and Texas having more land area.
The state of California can be divided into many regions and counties, depending on your needs. This Wikipedia page lists 137 regions in California while the official number of counties in the state stands at 58 (listed below by population, numbers taken from the California State association of Counties). Others may divide the state according to geographic regions, political or economical regions.
